   Travel tips / Health

If you need anything while here, Guatemala has great medical facilities and UFM has a medical school on campus.

Almost all meds can be procured here, over the counter; however, we recommend that you bring your own minimal "first aid kit", including Pepto Bismol and your favorites, such as Tylenol, Advil, etc. to save time and pounding the streets if you need something basic.

The best advice for a healthy stay: keep away from lettuce and unfiltered/unbottled water.

For the really organized: always travel with copies of your prescriptions, including glasses, in case you lose them.

If you suffer from motion or car sickness please bring appropriate medication.

Roads in Guatemala can be winding.
