Climate in Guatemala City and the surrounding area is very mild because we are in the mountains (Guatemala City is at 5,000 feet/1,500 meters).

Coolest time of the year: November through January-55 to 75 F (13 to 24 C)
Warmest: April/May-65 to 85 F (18 to 29 C)
Rest is in between. We have only two seasons: wet and dry.
Dry season: November to mid-May
Rainy season: mid-May to October. The rainy season means lots of cloud cover, especially in the afternoons. It doesn't rain everyday, except September and the first part of October. When it does rain, it is usually from hard to torrential. During the rainy season, there are always a few breaks during which the weather turns gloriously dry and sunny.
